Cadillac is entering the electric vehicle segment and earlier in 2020 unveiled its first fully electric model, the Cadillac Lyriq. It’s the Cadillac of electrified vehicles and offers all the luxury one would expect from this model with performance and range to go along with it.

The Cadillac Lyriq will arrive in 2021 and will be Cadillac's very first fully electric model, although it plans to launch several other electric vehicles in the coming years. Cadillac is therefore going green with an electrified range that combines breathtaking performance and cutting-edge technologies in a package that also includes all the luxury expected of Cadillac. Seeing what Cadillac has to offer with the all-new Lyriq, we can't wait to see the rest!

We do not yet know the exact power offered by the Cadillac Lyriq, but we do know that it will be very powerful. Two electric motors will take care of transmitting all the power to all four wheels and will reach 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Remarkable performances are therefore on the menu!

As for the electric motor, it will get its power from an Ultium battery whose capacity can go from 50 kWh to 200 kWh and which can offer up to 480 kilometres of range. We are therefore talking about the most modern batteries ever designed by GM for an electrified vehicle.

Inside, what catches the most attention is the impressive 33-inch curved center display that combines all the main functions. The display is not only exceptionally beautiful, it is also very functional. We also note the presence of an ultra-advanced Super Cruise system, an AKG audio system with 19 speakers and an augmented reality head-up display.
The Cadillac Lyriq is the start of a new generation of new Cadillac models that combine performance and luxury like no other vehicle can.

2026 Escalade IQ Battery and Range Guide: Getting 748 km of Luxury Without the Fuel Bill

The 2026 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ carries a battery pack that, by most measures, is unlike anything else in the full-size SUV segment. With over 200 kWh of usable energy, it offers a Cadillac-estimated 748 km of range on a full charge. That number matters for a specific reason: it addresses one of the most common questions about large luxury EVs, which is whether they can cover serious distance...
